The end of an era ...
Don't panic; I'm not abandoning Hedonia. Though lately it may have seemed a foregone conclusion.
I admit I've been a neglectful parent of late. Real-world concerns, like work, have really gotten in the way of my hedonistic pursuits over the past few months. Which is why I made the decision to terminate my work with ThisNext; I simply felt I couldn't fit it into a balanced equation in my life, and still leave room for the good stuff. My final post, No More Rubber Chickens, went up yesterday morning. But I am very proud of my body of work on that blog -- all 427 posts! -- and will miss it. But hopefully I can now redirect at least some of that time and energy back to my first love: You. Let's never part again.
In other news, DPaul and I were honored to be selected as judges for the March installment of Does My Blog Look Good In This?, hosted by Dolores at Chronicles in Culinary Curiosity. We debated the merits of 71 excellent entries, and submitted our fair but tough judgments back to her yesterday. Stay tuned on her site for the final results over the next day or so. And since I know some of the entrants personally, I would remind you that ours is but one of an aggregate scoring across five judges. So if you don't win, it might not be our fault. Please don't hate us with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.
Right. Now, what's for dinner?
