Leftovers: Happy Easter
Life imitates art: Giant rabbit terrorizes English gardeners. Guess that Wallace and Gromit film was a documentary.
Speaking of English atrocities, a London chef has created the world's most expensive sandwich, retailing at £85 (about $150). This Dagwood is comprised of Wagyu beef, foie gras, brie de meaux, truffled mayonnaise, arugula, red pepper and mustard confit, plum tomatoes all on 24-hour fermented sourdough. In a word: Ick!
Speaking of ick: Someone created a single, giant Cadbury Creme Egg out of 48 individual ones. Like the small ones aren't gross enough.
And speaking of gross Cadbury Creme egg atrocities: How about a three-Peep "turducken"? Just shove an entire Creme Egg inside each Peep, then cram the Peeps inside a hollow chocolate bunny. Now why didn't I think of that?
I'm down in SoCal, capturing some family favorite recipes. Easter is a major food holiday with us Eye-talians. Come to think of it, they're all major food holidays. No matter. Stay tuned for recipes for stuffed artichokes, rosette, cannoli abruzzesi and maybe more!
